Ghana's U-17 Women's team, the Black Maidens, will compete in Group A of the 2024 WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup, facing Benin and Burkina Faso.
The draw, held at WAFU B headquarters in Côte d'Ivoire, marks the Black Maidens’ return to competitive action after a period of inactivity.
The team is using this tournament as preparation for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers. Their focus will be on regaining form and showcasing their talent on the regional stage.
To gear up for the competition, the Black Maidens have undergone a five-week training camp in Bibiani, supported by Asante Gold Corporation.
This sponsorship has provided vital resources to ensure the team’s readiness for the challenges ahead.
