Captain Mukarama Abdulai scored a brace to send the Black Maidens into the quarterfinals of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup with a 100 percent record. 

The national U17 female side beat New Zealand 2-0 in their last to earn the 9 maximum points and finish on top of Group A scoring 10 goals in the process.

The Black Maidens won all three group matches after beating Uruguay (5-0), Finland (3-1) and New Zealand (2-0).

The results will see Ghana play Mexico in the quarterfinals tie scheduled for Sunday November 25 at 4pm.

This is the fourth time Ghana will be making it to this stage of the competition in a row having lost the last two quarter finals games.

Meanswhile, Ghana’s Grace Animah was named as the Most Valuable player at the end of the match.
