Ghana's U-20 women's national team, the Black Princesses, secured a 3-0 victory against Guinea-Bissau in the second leg of their FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Having already held a three-goal advantage from the first leg, the first half of the match ended without any goals, despite the Black Princesses dominating possession and creating several scoring opportunities.
Success Ameyaa and Mercy Attobra had chances in the 9th and 15th minutes, but they couldn't convert.
The breakthrough came in the second half when Tracy Twum opened the scoring in the 49th minute. Wasiima Mohammed extended the lead in the 59th minute with a header from Success Ameyaa's corner.
A beautiful midfield play between Tracy Twum and Helen Alormenu resulted in the latter chipping the ball over the goalkeeper, making it 3-0 for the Black Princesses.
This 3-0 win gave Ghana a 6-0 aggregate score after winning the first leg 3-0 in Bissau the previous weekend.
The Black Princesses will face Eswatini in the third round qualifiers as they aim to secure a spot in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
