The Black Queens defeated Fire Service Ladies 2-1 in a preparatory match ahead of their 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifier.

The match was played on Thursday at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence in Prampram.

The non-league side who took an early lead but Gladys Amfobea and Elizabeth Owusuaa scored to power the national team to victory.

The Queens will travel to Gabon on August 26 for the first leg of the first round and host the second leg on September 3.

The winners of this first round will move on to the second round where they will play the winners of the tie between Kenya and Malawi game.

The Queens will be seeking to qualify for the Olympics for the first time having come close in 2004 and 2008 as well as in 2016.
