The Black Queens have departed for Libreville ahead their 2020 Olympic Games qualifier against Gabon.

The women’s national team will lock horns with their Gabonese counterparts in the first leg on Wednesday, August 28.

The reverse fixture will be played between 30th August to 3rd September, 2019 in Ghana.

It’s a chance for redemption for coach Mercy Tagoe and her girls after failing to impress at the 2018 AWCON.

Having failed to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, making it to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be the ultimate target for the Black Queens who are yet to make an appearance in the multisport competition.
