Desmond Ofei, Head Coach of Ghana's National U-20 Male Team (Black Satellites), has invited 35 players from Ghana Premier League clubs for an initial assessment as part of preparations for the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The selected players will report to camp from January 3 to 9, 2025, where the technical team will evaluate their performance and suitability for upcoming assignments.
Following this phase, players from Division One clubs will be invited to camp from January 10 to 15, 2025, for a similar evaluation process.
This systematic approach aims to unearth the best talents from Ghana's domestic leagues to form a formidable squad for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire from April 26 to May 18, 2025.
Coach Ofei emphasized the importance of scouting players from both the Premier League and Division One to ensure a comprehensive selection process.
The technical team is committed to building a competitive side capable of excelling at the continental championship.
The CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations will also serve as a qualification platform for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, making the preparations even more crucial for the Black Satellites.
