In a promising development for Ghanaian football, a total of fifty exceptionally talented players scouted from various regions across the country have received invitations to join the Black Satellites' training camp at the GFA Technical Centre in Prampram.
The selected players have been organized into two separate batches, with the first group scheduled to assemble at the camp on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
The second batch of aspiring young footballers will follow suit and report to the GFA Technical Centre on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10 am.
Among these budding talents, 40 individuals were previously invited to the camp, including several participants from the highly competitive four-nation U16 tournament held in Serbia.
The selection pool also encompassed players who had showcased their skills at the last WAFU U20 tournament in Abidjan in July, as well as members of the previous national U17 team.
Following an intensive period of camping and rigorous evaluation, the National U20 technical team has progressed to Phase 2 of their preparations.
In this phase, the team will assess the skills and potential of the 50 scouted players from various corners of the country.
Additionally, the technical team is set to embark on a journey across the ten football regions, where they will engage in training sessions and friendly matches.
This strategic move aims to provide every talented individual with a fair opportunity to earn a spot in the upcoming National U20 team.
Moreover, it serves as a platform to discover hidden gems in the rich tapestry of Ghanaian football talent.
The invitation to the Black Satellites' camp represents a significant milestone for these players, offering them a chance to pursue their dreams of representing their country on the international stage.
