Following the completion of an assessment exercise for Ghana Premier League players, attention now shifts to high-performing Division One League players vying for a spot in the national Under-20 male team, the Black Satellites.

The exercise will commence on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, with the first batch of 22 players reporting to camp.

A second batch will undergo assessment beginning January 13, 2025.

The players, selected based on their outstanding performances in the Division One League, will compete for inclusion in the Black Satellites squad.

Head coach Desmond Ofei and his technical team remain committed to identifying and nurturing young talent to challenge the current team members, ensuring a strong and competitive squad.

The assessment comes as part of the Satellites' preparations for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place later this year.

Fresh off their gold medal win at the Africa Games, the team is focused on building a formidable squad capable of replicating their success on the continental stage.

The technical team is optimistic about discovering new talents who can raise the level of competition within the squad and contribute to creating a winsome team for the upcoming tournament.
