The Black Stars B can finally exact revenge on their Burkina Faso counterparts when the two sides clash in the Wafu Cup competition quarter final stage.

Ghana defeated the Gambia in Tuesdays opening game by a lone goal and for their rewards will take on West African neighbours Burkina Faso in the 2019 WAFU Cup on Friday, 4th October 2019.

Joseph Essou's clever finish from Imoro Ibrahim's cross ensured that Ghana progresses to the next stage of the competition which is currently underway in Senegal.

Burkina Faso has in recent times been a torn in the flesh of the Black Stars B team firstly in 2017, they prevented Ghana from reaching the CHAN tournament after Ghana had played a 2-2 drawn game in Ougadougou and ended up losing 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Recently just before the Wafu tournament, Burkina one again whipped the Black Stars B by a lone goal in the first leg of the 2020 CHAN qualifiers.
