Ghana's opponents in the semi final stage  at the on going Wafu tourament is now clear after the Ivory Coast beat the Sparrow Hawks of Togo to book their place.

The game ended goalless in regulation time  after both teams failed to find the net despite having numerous opportunities to take the lead in the emcounter palyed at Thies.

Ivory Coast advanced after beating Togo 4-2 on penalties on Saturday, the win mean the Ivory Coast will play against West Afrian neighbours Ghana.

Togo captain Akate Gnama and team mate Amekoudi Djodi all missed their spot kicks paving way for the Ivory Coast into the last four.

The Black Stars booked their place in the final after defeating Burkina Faso 5-4 on penalties on Friday.

Ghana will play the Ivorians in the semi fianls on Tuesday 8th October 2019 at the Stade Lat Dior in Thies while in the other semi final host Senegal are awaiting the winner of the match between Mali and Sierra Leone in the first semi final game on 9th October 2019.
