Coach of the Black Stars C.K Akonnor has paid a working visit to the training grounds of Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.

The visit was part of a familiarization tour by the head coach to know at first hand some key players of the team.

He held discussions with coach Annor Walker and other members of the technical team while also interacting with members of the playing squad.

Akonnor has an appetite for the local game having invited five local based players into the Black Stars squad since his appointment as the national team coach in January.

He was at the Accra Sports Stadium last week to witness Accra Hearts of Oak's 2-2 drawn game against Ashantigold in their match day two clash in the Ghana Premier League.

The former Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak gaffer played his first competitive game as the Black Stars coach in last month's double header qualifier against Sudan.

Akonnor will be hoping to seal qualification next year when Ghana faces Sao Tome and South Africa in the final two games.

He has been tasked to win the elusive AFCON title at the cup of nations in Cameroon in 2021.
