The Black Stars of Ghana have maintained their position in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola rankings, holding firm at 64th globally and 12th on the African continent for the month of July.

Ghana, the four-time African champions, saw a leap in the rankings after defeating Mali and the Central African Republic during June's World Cup qualifiers.

However, they have retained their position from a few weeks ago due to inactivity in July, unlike their European and South American counterparts who participated in the European Championship and Copa America.

Globally, Argentina continues to dominate the rankings after their Copa America triumph, while Spain has moved up to third place following their success at the Euros.

Within Africa, Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, and Nigeria occupy the top five positions.

Looking ahead, the Black Stars are set to return to action in September to commence the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

They will face Angola in Kumasi before traveling to Niger for the second match of Group F. Ghana aims to secure a spot in the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in Morocco next year.
