Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey insists they will play to win in today’s  international friendly clash against Japan at the Nissan Stadium

The four-time Africa champions will square off against the Blue Samurai as part of their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with the Asian giants also preparing for the World Cup in Russia.

Although the Atletico Madrid star admits it is going to be a difficult match against a Japan side “who play good football”, Partey maintains they are up to the task.

“Japan is a team who can play good football, so we must prepare well and give all we’ve got in the match. Despite it being a friendly match, it is important to go all out and win the match. The weather in Japan is not too hot nor is it too cold, so we are not worried about it. The team should be able to adjust to this weather and there should be no effect on our performance. We are looking forward for the match”

Meanwhile Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has named a strong starting line up for today’s clash, new-boy/Levante forward Emmanuel Boateng handed a start on his debut.

Starting line up: Ofori, Yiadom, Lumor, Sumaila, Opoku, Attamah, Sackey, Acheampong, Boateng, Partey, Ampomah

Reserves: Ati-Zigi, Kassim, Kwasi Okyere, Dwamena, Gyasi, Adomah, Acquah
