Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman is set to make his UEFA Champions League debut as Feyenoord prepares to take on German champions Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

The 19-year-old, currently on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, joined the Dutch giants during the summer transfer window.

Osman made his first appearance for Feyenoord in the Eredivisie match against Groningen last Saturday, following a delay in receiving the necessary documentation, which kept him sidelined for several weeks.

Now fully integrated into the squad, Osman has trained extensively with his teammates ahead of the crucial Champions League opener at De Kuip Stadium.

This match will mark a major milestone for the young Ghana international, as it will be his first-ever appearance in Europe’s elite competition since moving to the continent in 2021.

A graduate of the prestigious Right to Dream Academy, Osman is expected to play a key role for Feyenoord throughout the season.

The loan stint offers him a valuable opportunity to gain experience and regular game time before returning to Brighton next summer.
