Two Matrons, Store Keeper and Security man at the Denyaseman Senior High School in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region are in the grips of Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) following the stealing of 11 crates of eggs by Kitchen staff, Osei Anthony.

The suspect was nabbed when he attempted to smuggle eleven (11) crates of eggs from the school.

Information gathered by Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo indicates that the incident occurred Monday December 18, 2017 around 8:00 pm when the students were in their various dormitories.

The suspect, according to reports threw the eggs on the floor when the alarm was raised.

According to a source, the school Matron Theresah Akoto Essel told the police that the Kitchen staff Osei Anthony didn’t steal the eggs but rather to lend the eggs out to someone in town to prevent them from going bad as the school will soon vacate.

The four (4) suspects are currently in the hands of Bekwai Police Criminal Department and the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) is a`assisting the police in an investigation.

There has been several reported cases of theft by Matrons of Senior High Schools and kitchen staffs across the country in the past one month.

A 32-year-old kitchen staff of Koforidua Asokore SDA Kwasi Agyeman who stole foodstuff meant for the school is currently in prison custody after he was remanded by a court.

Madam Grace Abudu, Matron of Tolon Senior High School was caught allegedly diverting the foods just weeks after her colleague at Buipe Senior High School who was also arrested with bus full of food stuff went missing after she was handed over to the police.

The Matron at Ghana Secondary Senior High School (GHANASS) Comfort Brew, is currently under investigations for diverting food products meant to feed students.

She allegedly transported the products out of the school using a Ghana Education Service vehicle with registration number GN 5717 – 15 to sell the items.
