Ghanaian youngster Bobby Amartey continued his promising development at Leicester City, providing an assist in the Foxes’ 2–1 victory over Norwich City in the U21 Premier League 2 on Monday night.
The 19-year-old midfielder played a key role in the win, showing composure and creativity in midfield as Leicester secured all three points against their fellow development-side rivals.
Amartey has been in fine form this season, registering one goal and two assists in the competition so far, returns that underline his growing influence within Leicester’s youth setup.
Carrying a familiar surname at the club once represented by former Ghana international Daniel Amartey, the teenager is beginning to carve out his own identity. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with the midfielder continuing to gain valuable minutes and confidence at a competitive level.
Currently a member of Ghana’s Black Satellites (U20) squad, Amartey’s progress in England offers further encouragement for both club and country, as he looks to build consistency and push towards the next stage of his career while keeping the Ghana flag flying on the English scene.
