Bofoakwa Tano, making their return to the Ghana Premier League after a 16-year absence, marked their comeback with a goalless draw against Accra Great Olympics in the season opener at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The first 45 minutes of the match failed to produce any goals, with both teams heading to the locker room with the score unchanged.
The second half continued in the same vein, as Annor Walker, returning to Bofoakwa Tano after a season with Samartex, could not start his second stint with a victory.
The match concluded with both teams sharing a point in their opening fixture.
Accra Great Olympics will face Heart of Lions away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in round 2 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
Meanwhile, Bofoakwa Tano, playing their first home game in the Ghana top flight after returning, will host Real Tamale United on the same Saturday in round 2.
