Christopher Bonsu Baah- the new Black Stars sensation and KRC Genk winger  talks about how he felt when he was named in the starting lineup for Ghana’s Unity Cup encounter in the "Jollof Derby" against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Gtech Community Stadium in London on May 28 2025.

His emphatically represented the nation in an impressive style, initiating wild pace and attacks as he kept being a threat to the Nigerians and his ability to create a lot of  spaces and chances has since drawn praise and sparked optimism about his role in Ghana’s future World Cup qualification campaign, boosting the hopes of the Ghanaian fans of a positive outcome going inti the next round of qualifiers come September.

Despite the hype surrounding his performance, the former Shooting Stars electrifying winger asserts that he was not overwhelmed by the occasion, indicating that he  rather the experience as it was his official debut for his nation.

“When I heard I was going to start [against Nigeria], I was just happy and I just said nah this is the moment I should just enjoy the game that’s all,” he told Joy Sports. “I didn’t put any pressure on myself or I was like I just went out and enjoyed the game yeah.”

The 20-year-old  red-hot talent added that he is leaving all performance reviews to the Black Stars technical team as they have the final say to everything regarding his call-up.

“I will leave everything to the coach because he was the one who was watching the game so he has to tell me like I did well or I did not do well but for me, I just gave my all to my country.”
