Ghana international Christopher Bonsu Baah was on target as Al Qadsiah fought back to secure a 2-2 draw against Al Shabab in the Saudi Pro League on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old winger delivered an impressive full-match performance in the Round 29 fixture, played at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium.

Al Qadsiah made a bright start and took the lead in the 16th minute following a well-worked attacking move. Argentina forward Mateo Retegui set up Bonsu Baah, who unleashed a powerful strike that left the goalkeeper with no chance.

However, the hosts were unable to sustain their early momentum. Al Shabab gradually grew into the contest and equalised in the 35th minute through Ali Azaizeh, ensuring the sides went into the break level.

The visitors continued their resurgence after halftime, with Azaizeh scoring his second goal in the 54th minute, this time assisted by Abderrazak Hamdallah, to give Al Shabab a 2-1 advantage.

Al Qadsiah responded with determination, and their persistence paid off in the 76th minute when Retegui found the net to restore parity in what proved to be an entertaining encounter.

Bonsu Baah’s goal marks his third of the league campaign, alongside eight assists in 27 appearances, underlining his growing influence in the Saudi top flight.
