Thomas-Asante’s form has been pivotal to Coventry’s attacking rhythm, helping Frank Lampard's team gain a strong attacking edge in the English Championship and his growing consistency could soon put him in contention for a return to the Black Stars setup, especially with international fixtures looming.
He made his Black Stars debut in October 2024 when he came on as a substitute in Ghana's 4-3 win over Central Africa Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium. He has since made three more appearances in the national colours as he grabbed his first goal for the Black Stars in the Unity Cup in May 2025 when he scored the consolation in a 2-1 loss to West African arch rivals Nigeria.
