Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante found the back of the net in Coventry City's 2-1 home loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.
Despite taking the lead, Coventry couldn't hold on as two late goals secured victory for Spurs in the third-round clash.
Coventry took the lead in the 63rd minute when Thomas-Asante converted Norman Bassette's low cross, giving the Championship side a deserved advantage.
However, Tottenham responded late in the game, with Djed Spence equalizing in the 88th minute after being set up by Dejan Kulusevski.
Just five minutes later, Brennan Johnson completed Tottenham's comeback, netting the winner in the 93rd minute after a precise through-ball from Rodrigo Bentancur.
The victory ended Spurs' two-match losing streak and secured their place in the Carabao Cup's last 16.
Thomas-Asante, who joined Coventry City from West Bromwich Albion this summer, played the entire match and delivered an impressive performance.
The Ghanaian forward has now scored two goals in eight appearances across all competitions in his debut season for Coventry.
