Brazilian side Botafogo FC SP has bolstered its squad for the new season with the addition of Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulai

Abdulai, who has previously represented the Ghana national team, arrived in Ribeirão Preto on August 6 and has been training with the team since his arrival.

His documentation is now complete, making him eligible for selection by coach Paulo Gomes for the upcoming Brazilian Serie B fixture.

The 25-year-old’s football career began with Spartans FC in Ghana before he made the move to Spanish football in 2017, joining UD Extremadura.

His impressive performances in Spain attracted the interest of La Liga side Getafe CF, where he gained valuable experience in one of Europe’s top leagues.

Abdulai also had stints with Ponferradina, Lugo, and Real Murcia, further refining his skills. On the international stage, he has represented Ghana at various youth levels, including the U20 team at the Africa Cup of Nations and the U23 team in friendlies.

With his versatility and experience, Abdulai is expected to be a significant asset for Botafogo FC SP as they aim to strengthen their squad and achieve their objectives this season.
