Madam Akua Donkor, the founder and flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has passed away.

The cause of her death is not immediately known but according to a report by Atinka FM, she passed away Monday night at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) where she was receiving treatment.

Madam Donkor, who was born in February 1952 (72 years), comes from Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region.
