Report reaching Ghanaguardian.com indicates armed robbers have shot two people at Yonkopa Cocoa Buying Limited at New-Edubiase in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region.

The robbers, numbered about four stormed the Yonkopa Cocoa office Wednesday afternoon around 1pm, fully armed  with  facial masks and robbed them at gun point.

The report says the gang demanded for the release of 4.5 billion old Ghana cedis, meant for paying cocoa farmers in the area.

Nana Boroo told Ghanaguardian's Eric Nana Prekoh that; "the  gang stormed the Depo and started shooting  indiscriminately and asked that the Purchasing Clerks (PCs) hand over  to them  every money in their procession".

He said the gang carried AK47 raffles and made away with the money.

The two people who were shot in the process have since been rushed to the New-Edubiasse Government hospital for treatment.

The case has since been reported to Police for further investigations.
