Ghanaian striker John Antwi has smashed the long-standing goal scoring record in the Egyptian Premier League.

He is now the highest-scoring foreigner in the history of the Egyptian top flight after scoring a hat trick for Misr El-Maqasa in a 4-3 thriller against ENPPI on Sunday afternoon.

By virtue of his three goals, Antwi has now scored 63 goals to surpass Ghanaian player Ernest Papa Arko who previously held the record with 61 goals.

It's been a remarkable run for the Ghanaian, who is impressing with numbers on the blindside of many people.

Antwi started his career with Al Ismaily in 2013 where he scored 28 goals before joining Al Ahly two years later, scoring three goals.

He went on to join Misr Lel Makassa where he has now scored 32 goals in his three seasons at the club.

The statistics are clear in the favour of the hugely talented striker, who continues to rake in the numbers in the North African country.
