The Former Vice President of Ghana under the John Mahama administration, Kwasi Amissah Arthur, has died after collapsing while jogging at the gym on Friday morning, Ghanaguardian.com can report.

The former Vice President and former  governor of the Central Bank died in the early hours of Friday June 29 after he collapsed while jogging.

He collapsed at the Air Force Gym in Accra Friday morning whilst exercising.

Arthur was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He was  an economist, academic and politician who was the sixth Vice-President of Ghana, in office from 6 August 2012 until 7 January 2017.

He was 67 years.
