Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko have parted ways with coach C.K Akunnor, Ghanaguardian.com can reveal.

The 44 year old was asked to step aside from his first team duties following a closed door meeting with management of the club on Wednesday.

Akunnor’s surprise axing comes less than two weeks after guiding the club to victory in the NC Tier 1 Special Competition.

The Porcupine Warriors are reportedly set to appoint AshantiGold manager Kjetil Zachariassen as his replacement.

The Norwegian has had previous stints in Ivory Coast with Stella Club, AS Tanda and Williamsville Athletic Club (WAC).
