Congress has approved the new statutes proposed by the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association to help govern football in the country.

The NC was tasked by FIFA to come up with new statutes in line with those of FIFA and these new statues would run Ghana football after new executives were elected.

A number of the delegates present at Thursday’s Congress, many of them club officials, expressed some reservations with some of the proposals which were made.

However after several hours of deliberations the following resolutions were made;

The new statutes will have 120 delegates with 12 executive council members.

The new Executive council will be composed of 5 premier league representatives, 3 representatives from the division one, with the regional football Association having 2 members.

The remaining position will be given to the president of the Association, and a Women representative.

The Congress will now be composed of 32 delegates from the premier league clubs, 48 from division one, 20 from the RFA’s, and the constituent bodies taking the rest.
