Ten Premier League clubs and 20 Division one sides have endorsed the nomination forms of GFA Presidential hopeful George Afriyie, Ghanaguardian.com understands.

The former Ghana FA vice capo was accompanied by a massive convoy as he filed his nomination on Friday afternoon at the Secretariat of the Ghana FA.

Many pundits have tipped the experienced football administrator to win the upcoming GFA presidential elections with some people seeing him as the heir apparent to former FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi.

Others who want a fresh face see his link to ousted former President Kwasi Nyantakyi as a disadvantage to his presidential aspirations.

He joins Wilfred Osei Palmer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Kurt Okraku and Kojo Yankah as persons who have filed their nominations for the coveted GFA hot seat.
