The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the draw ceremony for the African Games Football Tournaments (Men and Women) will take place during the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Cote d’Ivoire 2023 Final Tournament.

The ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Sofitel Hotel in Abidjan. Host country Ghana and the eight quarterfinalists of the TotalEnergies U-20 AFCON, Egypt 2023, including Nigeria, Benin, Congo, The Gambia, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia, and Uganda, are qualified for the football tournament of the 13th African Games, Ghana 2023.

The qualified teams will be distributed into two groups, with Ghana as the host in position A1 and Nigeria, the runners-up of the previous edition, in position B1.

The African Games will take place from Friday, March 8, to Saturday, March 23, 2024.
