Bibiani GoldStars Chief Executive Officer Akwasi Adu says his side is fully capable of overturning their 2–0 first-leg deficit against JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League preliminary round, insisting that the team remains focused and unshaken ahead of Sunday’s decisive clash.

The Ghana Premier League champions suffered a setback at the Accra Sports Stadium last Saturday, but Adu believes the tie is far from over.

“We are equally mapping out our plans and strategies to get them [GoldStars players] on their toes when we get to Kabylie,” he told Citi Sports.
“We are not perturbed by the results that happened the last time. It’s still football. A club has come to score 2–0 at our home, we can equally turn around the results.”

The team has begun its journey to Tizi Ouzou, traveling in two batches. The first contingent, including a 10-member technical team, departed Ghana on Thursday, with the second group scheduled also to leave not long after the first batch.

The match will be played at the Hocine Aït Ahmed Stadium on Sunday, September 28, with kick-off set for 19:00 GMT.

GoldStars must win by three clear goals to qualify outright, or by two goals to force extra time. A defeat or draw would see them exit the competition at the first preliminary round, ending their maiden CAF Champions League campaign.
