Callum Hudson-Odoi, the English-born Ghanaian winger, left many Chelsea fans scratching their heads on what might have been on Monday night, scoring on his debut for his new club, Nottingham Forest.

In the match, Burnley took the lead in the first half with Amdouni's shot from the edge of the penalty box in the 41st minute.

However, in the second half, Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoyini chested down a high ball and set up Hudson-Odoi, who expertly curled the ball into the left top corner from the edge of the penalty box, making it 1-1.

South African striker Foster thought he had scored the winner, but his goal was disallowed due to a handball incident.

Foster was later sent off for violent conduct after a VAR review, which seemed like a soft decision.

Once considered the next big thing, Hudson-Odoi now found himself surplus to requirements at the West London club, Chelsea after a poor loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen  last season.

Chelsea and Nottingham Forest negotiated a £3.5 million deal for the talented winger during the summer transfer window, with a significant future sell-on clause for the West London club.

Notably, Chelsea had rejected an initial proposal from their West London rivals, Fulham, in their pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi.
