The Confederation of African Football (Caf) will make a “final decision” today concerning the hosting of the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations by Cameroon.

Cameroon have struggled to convince Caf in recent months about their ability to play hosts to Africa next year after the tournament took a new 24-team format.

Following the last inspection conducted in August, Caf noted “significant delays” in Cameroon’s readying for the tournament.

It is believed that Morocco are waiting in the wings to take up the hosting rights should Caf deem Cameroon unable to play hosts.

Having hosted the eight-team 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nations, Cameroon could be confident of their stadia, training facilities and accommodation infrastructure as well as transport networks.

The 2019 Total Afcon is scheduled to hold from June 15 to July 13, 2019.
