Ghanaian forward Carl Davordzie stole the spotlight in Romania's Liga 2 on Friday, delivering a remarkable performance that powered CSM Ceahlaul to a 4-2 win over FC Craiova.
Davordzie was instrumental in all four goals, earning him the Man of the Match title.
The 22-year-old started by winning a penalty in the 22nd minute, allowing teammate Patrick Petre to convert and level the score at 1-1. Just over ten minutes later, Davordzie assisted Petre again, putting Ceahlaul ahead 2-1.
After FC Craiova equalized just before halftime, Davordzie remained a constant threat. In the 82nd minute, he set up Cristian Copot, who restored Ceahlaul’s lead at 3-2.
Davordzie capped his standout performance with a 90th-minute goal—his seventh of the season—sealing the win for Ceahlaul.
This victory propels CSM Ceahlaul to fifth place in the Liga 2 standings, with 20 points from 12 games, marking a significant boost for the team’s campaign.
