Award-winning actor and comedian, Alex Kofi Adu otherwise known as Agya Koo has claimed that celebrities who endorsed President John Dramani Mahama’s candidature for the December 7 election, failed him as they did little to ensure his victory.

According to him, the NDC celebrities after they had received the cars and other goodies did not intensify the campaign to see President Mahama retain power.

In an interview on Rainbow Radio, Agya Koo blamed the NDC campaigners for sharing sardines, rice, money and other items to buy votes from electorates.

He noted that the NPP went ahead to campaign on issues affecting Ghanaians and how Nana Addo will help resolve them.

In his view, the outgoing president should blame his team for failing to put up a good campaign strategy which caused his defeat making him the only president in Ghana’s history under the Fourth Republic to have served only a term.
