A 29-year-old insurance agent, Esther Amoah, tragically lost her life on Saturday after being struck by a cement-laden truck on the Apowa–Agona Nkwanta Highway in the Western Region.
According to Crime Check TV, Esther had been returning home after visiting her younger brother at St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School, where she delivered food.
Eyewitnesses reported that as she attempted to cross the highway, she hesitated when two vehicles approached from opposite directions. At that moment, a Benz truck with registration number AS 630 P struck her, killing her instantly.
Witnesses noted that Esther was still holding the food flask she had brought for her brother when the accident occurred.
The truck driver has since been arrested and is assisting the police with investigations.
