Cameroon secured their place at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt with a 3-0 win over Comoros in Yaounde on Saturday in the final Group B qualifier.

Cameroon, who were the initial hosts of the 2019 African Cup before being stripped of the hosting rights last December, needed only a draw while Comoros had to win in Yaounde to cause an upset.

The Indomitable Lions roared in front of their home crowd, scoring on three occasions through Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting 37, Clarence Bitang 53 and Karl Toko Ekambi 89 to secure their qualification.

Cameroon finished second in Group B with 11 points, just behind leaders Morocco who have the same number of points but finished on top due to a better head-to-head record.
