Ghanaian football legend and former coach of Hearts of Oak Mohammed Polo has urged fans of the club to be patient with their coach Kim Grant.

A section of the club's supporters have started agitating for his head following Sunday's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the replay of the President's Cup match.

The Phobians opened the scoring through a Kofi Kordi penalty but an own goal from Mohammed Alhassan and a second half header from Naby Keita consigned Hearts of Oak to a defeat.

Supporters of the club are furious with the performance of the team and also results and have started heaping pressure on their British trained gaffer.

But former Hearts of Oak player and  coach,  Mohammed Polo believes Hearts of Oak coach Kim Grant deserves more time despite his poor preparations ahead of the 2019/2020 season.

"Hearts of Oak supporters should give Kim Grant time to work, their behavior towards him is wrong even when they lose a friendly game is not appropriate. He needs more time and this is another year for him" Polo told Kumasi based OTEC FM

"I know there is more pressure on the team but things will be worse if the pressure continues like this. The Changing of coaching syndrome has affected the team (Hearts).

"For how many years have they been searching for the elusive league title without any results?"

"It is time for the supporters to know that football takes time and have to go through a process" He added
