Coach Ibrahim Tanko Thursday named players who will be representing Ghana in our quest to qualify for the Olympic games for the first time in 15 years.

The team made up of predominantly Ghanaian players plying their trade in Europe will leave the shores of Ghana for Egypt on Monday.

Squad numbers for each players has been announced with the iconic number 10 jersey going to captain Yaw Yeboah.

The number 9 jersey has been taken over by son of former Ghana International Prince Poku Polley, Robin Polley who plays in the Dutch Eredivisie for ADO Den Haag.

Cordoba's Kwabena Owusu who was part of Ghana's team at the 2019 Afcon that exited at the round of 16 will be wearing jersey number 6 with former Inter Allies striker Ropapa Mensah now of Nashville in the USA  pulling on number 7 with Real Oviedo's Samuel Obeng Gyabaah wearing number 18.

Ghana will open the tournament on 8th November against Cameroon before taking on Egypt on the 11th November with Mali the last group game on the 14th November
