Asante Kotoko manager C.K Akunnor has given his full backing to misfiring striker Songne Yacouba.

The Burkinabe import who was the club’s top scorer at the end of the botched Ghana Premier League first round is on a run of five games without scoring for the Porcupine Warriors.

But Akunnor following his side’s 1-0 loss at Al-Hilal insists goalscoring is not an exclusive responsibility of strikers in his team.

“What is a striker. In my team I don’t duel on strikers. Everyone can score for the team.” Akonnor said on Sunday.

“We have good strikers but today they were quiet.” He added

The 24-year-old joined Kotoko from Malian Club Stade Malian.
