The national leadership of the Commercial National Motor Riders Union of Ghana (CNMRUG) has undergone a leadership development programme aimed at enhancing organisational governance and strengthening effective leadership within the union.

The programme was facilitated by Dr Mohammed Sumaila, Chief Executive Officer of Okadamotto, a seasoned leadership expert widely recognised across Asia for his results-oriented leadership training and innovative facilitation methods.

The training focused on key areas including strategic leadership, organisational management, conflict resolution, and sustainable union development. Participants engaged in practical sessions designed to improve decision-making, promote accountability, and enhance effective representation of members at both the national and grassroots levels.

Addressing participants during the programme, Dr Sumaila underscored the importance of visionary leadership and ethical responsibility in union administration. He stressed that strong leadership structures are crucial to advancing the welfare of commercial motor riders and ensuring the sector’s long-term growth.

Leaders of CNMRUG welcomed the initiative, describing the programme as timely and impactful. They noted that the skills and insights acquired would significantly improve union operations, strengthen member engagement, and enhance service delivery across the country.

The leadership development initiative forms part of the union’s broader strategy to build institutional capacity and promote professionalism within Ghana’s commercial motor riding industry.
