Coach Maxwell Konadu has named his final squad for the upcoming Wafu Cup which will be staged in Senegal.
Some notables names have been dropped from the team that will enplane to Dakar Senegal today.

Conspicuously missing from the squad is Karela United's prolific marksman Diawisie Taylor who took the nation by storm with his strikes during the Normalization Committee Special competition with his goals.

Others missing from the squad is Hearts of Oak youngster Manaf Umar and Emmanuel Ocran.

Ten players will leave the shores of Ghana with the technical team for Dakar while a combined 11 others from Ashgold and Asante Kotoko who are currently on an African assignment will join the team later.

Ghana won the last edition of the biennial competition which we hosted under the tutelage of Maxwell Konadu and will open our defence of the title won two years ago against the Gambia on Tuesday 2nd October 2019.
