Coach Prosper Nartey leaves Karela United
10th December 2019
Trainer Dr. Prosper Nartey has unceremoniously vacated his position as Karela United FC head coach, according to media reports.
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) lecturer was appointed as a replacement of Coach Johnson Smith who joined Asante Kotoko SC last month.
Dr. Nartey barely lasted two months with the Aiyinase based premier club.
However, he has left his position as the head coach following a misunderstanding between the club board.
According to reports, the gaffer decided to show some senior players the exit door but the board of the former Division One Zone II Champions are not in accord with his decision, as a result abandoned his post.
The club is yet to release an official press statement to that effect.
With barely three weeks to the start of the new campaign, Karela United have very limited time to name a new coach ahead of the new season.
The Ghana Premier League seasons is slated to commence on December 27-29 this month.
