Ghanaian rapper Edem, together with his wife Stacy on Sunday, April 13, provided 50 packs of breakfast to the frontline staff and security personnel deployed to ensure compliance of the restrictions on movement to curb the spread of COVID-19.
According to Edem, that is his own little way of showing appreciation for their sacrifice and support through these difficult times.
“We are pulling up on the police and giving all of them breakfast. To show appreciation because we think that they are doing an amazing job and it is not easy. They stand all through the night till morning,” he said.
The security in appreciation thanked Edem and his team for their generous support.
“You brought us food. God bless you. We are praying that this sickness takes leave of us soon.” one personnel responded.
He also distributed monies to about 30 fans to assist them during the lockdown season.
He said the funds distributed among his fans, was targeted at helping the less privileged ones who might be suffering from hunger as Ghana fights the COVID-19.
Edem, however, reiterated the call on the public to abide by lockdown directives and practice all the necessary safety measures.
