Ghanaian football icon, Kwadwo Asamoah has donated an amount of $20,000.00 to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Kumasi to aid the facility in the fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

The amount was presented to the management of the hospital on his behalf the Inter Milan star by his father on Tuesday afternoon.

The 31-year-old has been in lockdown in his base in Milan, Italy where it has been an epicenter of the disease.

The Inter Milan defender has added his name to a long list of Ghanaian players who are putting much efforts in their own way to combat the novel virus, the very latest being Danny Welbeck who donated to his mother’s hometown on Monday.

Other players including Dede Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Majeed Waris just to mention few have contributed in various ways to ameliorate the spread of the disease within their communities.
