Crystal Place have opened contract talks with Ghanaian International Jeffrey Sclupp who has been in fine form for the London side.

The versatile defender cum winger has recently scored goals for his team in back to back wins before Saturdays draw against bottom club Watford.

Schlupp scored the winner and only goal against Bournemouth and had to come from the bench to also  score the second in their 2 nil win over Burnley.

The former Leicester City man has forced his way into the thinking of Roy Hodgson and is now an integral member of the squad.

Schlupp's current deal only has 18 months remaining and Hodgson is keen to secure the services of the 26-year-old after showcasing some good form in recent weeks.
With Palace sitting in seventh place in the Premier League, Schlupp's two goals and two assists have won the Eagles six points. Without his contributions, his side would be 17th, fighting relegation.

Talks have began with the club hopeful an agreement could be reached soon.

Schlupp, who has played left back and left wing for Palace this term, has made 13 appearances, including eight starts.
