Crystal Palace Coach Roy Hodgson has expressed his satisfaction with the performance and contribution of Jordan Ayew to his side 2-0 win away to Wolverhampton Wonders on Wednesday night.

Ayew found the perfect time to net his first goal for Palace as he sparked a late surge that saw Palace net twice to seal all three points against Wolves at Molineux.

The Ghanaian striker began 2019 with a bang as he produced a composed finish with three minutes remaining to edge his side towards victory in a tightly-contest affair, and with the last kick of the game Luka Milivojevic emphatically dispatched a penalty to seal another away win for the Eagles.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson was full of praises for the former Olympique de Marseille striker: “I thought we were the team pushing for the goal and when we eventually got it I think we can say we deserved it.

“Jordan worked so hard and it was fitting he could score the goal that has eluded him and us for so long. I’m really pleased with the performance, the discipline and I’m delighted to win a game away from home because it makes the Christmas period quite a good one for us.” he is quoted by the BBC.
