English-born Ghanaian striker Dan Agyei has sealed a move to Kocaelispor, newly promoted to the Turkish Super Lig, after leaving Leyton Orient at the end of the 2024/25 season.

The 28-year-old forward signed a two-year deal with the İzmit-based club, completing the switch on a free transfer. His contract with Leyton Orient expired this summer, and he opted not to renew, paving the way for his first move abroad.

Kocaelispor announced the signing on their official X (formerly Twitter) account with the message:

"Welcome to our great community Dan Agyei! Our club has signed a 2-year contract with football player Daniel Ebenezer Kwasi Agyei."

Agyei had a productive season with Leyton Orient, featuring in 54 matches across all competitions in 2024/25. Known for his strength and direct playing style, the former Burnley U23 standout was a key figure in the English League One side’s campaign.

Born in London to Ghanaian parents, Agyei is still eligible to represent Ghana internationally, as he has not yet been capped by England at senior level. His move to Turkey marks a new chapter in his career and could potentially bring him into the spotlight of Black Stars selectors, especially with increased visibility in a top European league.
