A renowned security expert, Chief Amankwah, has opined there are dangers that await Ghana's democracy in the coming years.

According to him, if politicians will continue to go the way they are handling the affairs of Ghana, the people, especially the youth of will rise against the leadership of this country.

Speaking on Accra based Hot FM Friday, he said: "it does not matter which political party in power, either NPP or NDC, since the citizens are gradually getting tired with the politicians considering how they are managing the affairs of the country and giving less attention to the cry of the ordinary citizen".

His comments come after another death on the Adenta highway triggered riots.

Outlining the dangers that loom for the Ghana's democracy, he said he foresees the youth mobilizing themselves and heading to the presidency and the Parliament house to demand for a new constitution.

Giving out his suggestions to curb recent state of insecurity in the country, Chief Amankwa said the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Attorney General and other state institutional heads must not be appointed by the president.

He added that the National Security has failed in executing its core mandates for the country.
