Ghana had two shot the entire game against South Africa in their second game in the 2022 World Cup qualifier but delusional head coach C.K Akonnor says that Ghana started well and were just not clinical upfront.

The Bafana Bafana controlled most parts of the game and were only denied a goal by an error from the lines man as Percy Tau headed home on the stroke of half time only for the flag to go up for offside when he was clearly onside.

Ghana had a single shot on target the entire game with the closest Ghana went near the goalkeeper William's goal was when Joel Fameyeh was tripped when he was through on goal.

The resulting free kick was fiercely struck by Wakaso Mubarak but the goalkeeper held firm without any trouble.

Ghana came up a bit better in the second half but it was the Bafana Bafana who made it count as in the 83rd minute as Maritzburg United striker Bongokuhle Hlongwane cushioned a cross into the far corner to open the scores for South Africa.

Speaking after the game the Ghana coach says that he was happy with his side's first half display just that his side were not clinical up front.

“Well, we started very well in the first half, tactically we were very disciplined. It went the way we want it. [But] we were not clinical upfront, that’s the problem. But I was satisfied with the way we played in terms of controlling the game" he said.
